Hawkes Bay

We had a little trip to Hawkes Bay with Stu's family on the way home from Wellington. It was the Art Deco Festival in Napier - so that was amazing to toodle around at. Stu and I made some great op shop finds, we visited a few wineries for delicious taste testing, beached, visited the Gannets and generally had a relaxing time in the sun.

Craggy Range Winery, the perfect place for Erin and Stu to have a play fight.

Waterfall rope swing! Not for me though, the water was way too cold.

A trip to the Cape Kidnappers Gannet Colony. Fun fact: this is the most eastern point of New Zealand.

The bone dry weather makes for straw-like grass. The poor farm animals must be suffering greatly.
